About Us

We are Ramah

This is our history.

Founded in January of 1997 by Pastor Roderick Roberts and the late First Lady Arleen Roberts, Ramah Christian Center is a ministry rooted in the principles of perfecting the saints, serving the community, and building up the body of Christ. Our name, derived from the Old Testament, signifies ‘The High Place,’ drawing inspiration from the biblical location where Hannah gave birth to the prophet Samuel and the first recorded School of the Prophets was established.

At Ramah Christian Center, our mission is to liberate and elevate the minds of God’s people through the sharing of transformative information, the impartation of spiritual wisdom, and the tangible demonstration of the power and grace of Almighty God. We are committed to creating an atmosphere where individuals can experience spiritual growth, empowerment, and a deepening connection with God. Join us on this meaningful journey of faith, where we strive to embody the spirit of Ramah, ‘The High Place,’ in our worship, teachings, and community engagement.

Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)

Where God Leads

Mission & Vision

At Ramah Christian Center, our mission is to emancipate and uplift the hearts and minds of God’s people. Through the dissemination of transformative information, profound impartation, and the tangible demonstration of the power and grace of Almighty God, we strive to create an atmosphere of spiritual growth and empowerment.

Inspired by the Old Testament, the name ‘Ramah,’ meaning ‘The High Place,’ symbolizes the elevated spiritual experience we aim to provide. In this sacred space, reminiscent of where Hannah gave birth to the prophet Samuel and the birthplace of the first recorded School of the Prophets, we aspire to foster a community where individuals can encounter God, gain wisdom, and be equipped for their divine purposes. Our ministry is committed to cultivating an environment where the presence of God is not only known but deeply experienced, leading to a transformative journey of faith and spiritual elevation.

  1. Vision: At our church, we embrace a shared vision that guides and inspires us. We believe in seeking God’s guidance to envision a future filled with purpose, hope, and transformative impact. Our commitment to vision fosters a forward-looking perspective, inspiring us to align our individual and collective efforts towards the realization of God’s plan for our community and beyond.
  2. Integrity: Rooted in biblical principles, integrity is the cornerstone of our church community. We strive to live with honesty, transparency, and moral uprightness in all aspects of our lives. Upholding integrity means not only being accountable to God but also to one another. We recognize that our actions speak louder than words, and we endeavor to exemplify God’s truth and righteousness in our relationships, both within the church and in our wider community.
  3. Accountability: We believe in a culture of accountability that encourages personal responsibility and growth. Each member of our church family is committed to being accountable to God, to fellow believers, and to the community we serve. We foster an environment where constructive feedback and support are provided, aiding one another on our spiritual journeys. In recognizing our individual roles within the body of Christ, we actively seek opportunities to uplift and strengthen each other.
  4. Community: Our church thrives on the power of genuine community. We understand that we are not meant to walk this spiritual journey alone. We intentionally cultivate a sense of belonging, creating spaces for fellowship, support, and love. Whether in times of joy or challenge, we stand together, valuing diversity and embracing the richness that different perspectives bring to our community. As the body of Christ, we celebrate unity in diversity, fostering an inclusive environment where all are welcome.
  5. Excellence: Excellence is our commitment to offering our very best in service to God and one another. We believe that God deserves our utmost dedication, and we strive for excellence in all aspects of worship, ministry, and community engagement. This commitment extends to both the spiritual and practical dimensions of our service. Through continuous learning, innovation, and a desire to glorify God in everything we do, we aim to reflect the excellence of our heavenly Father in our church community.
